No, we don’t mean actual ponies! The Pony ride is a social, leisure ride that begins at The Bull in Downtown Durham and after winding around downtown will end at the Ponysaurus Brewing Co. tap room and beer garden for pints, dumplings from Chirba Chirba and a chance to win prizes and hang with good folks. Pony ride happens on the second Tuesday of each month.

V & E Simonetti Historic Tuba Collection
Check out the number one tuba museum in Durham. Vincent Simonetti has been building this collection since 1965. The museum offers tours of 5 rooms packed with tubas dating back to the 1830’s. You may not be musically inclined but it’s so fascinating! You won’t find anything like this anywhere else!

Now we can combine our love for pups and beer ? Photo: @ak_alsobrook
Why not grab a beer and bring your pup along? Or it’s really just an opportunity to pet all the dogs if you don’t have one of your own. Barley Labs is Durham’s first and only dog-focused bar. Looking around, you’ll see a multitude of colors, a variety of dogs, and elements that can be summed up in one word: community. It’s on their walls, on their shelves, in their dog treats, and it’s what’s on tap. On the way out, treat your pup to some of their dog treats that made from leftover spelt grain from Fullsteam Brewery. (Talk about keepin’ it local!)
