Ira David Wood III’s beloved musical comedy, A Christmas Carol, celebrates its 45th Anniversary and will return to DPAC for seven performances on December 18 – 22, 2019. The show has been performed annually since 1974 and has been named one of the “Top 20 Events in the Southeast.”

Tamisha Waden on the Roof

Al Strong Presents comes back to the heated, enclosed Roof for one night in December with guest Tamisha Waden. Hear this dynamic vocalist, who has performed with The Foreign Exchange and Phil Cook, sing holiday songs, top 40 standards, and original music, backed by Joey Holloway on keys, Darion Alexander on bass, and Dorien Dotson on drums. Cozy up under Pendleton blankets for a night of great music and warm drinks, like Mulled Wine. No cover.

Durham Arts Council Third Friday Holiday Event

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Durham Arts Council

Durham Arts Council is the place to be for an art-filled, family-friendly affair brimming with holiday cheer! There will be visual art exhibits (including the The Durham Art Guild Members’ Holiday Market), caroling by the Durham Children’s Choir, live music from The Forryst Bruthers (James Wallace and Mark Simonsen), and cookie decorating for all!

Iron Crafter & Holiday Celebration

6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Scrap Exchange

The Scrap Exchange presents the WORLD’S GREATEST live, not-quite-to-the-death, action-packed, ~talent-optional~, CRAFT THROWDOWN! Iron Crafter is a live craft battle event where contestants must use a secret “ingredient” and their raw crafting skills to out-create the competition. The Craft Market in the Cameron Gallery will be freshly stocked for all of you last-minute shoppers, and there will be music by DJ Who’s Your Danny along with snacks, drinks and holiday cheer.
