Favor Desserts

The story of Favor Desserts began in an unlikely place- prison. Keijuane Hester was serving time and was assigned to work in the kitchen. That’s where he learned his baking skills. When he was released, Keijuane started cooking cakes and selling slices door-to-door, mostly to businesses, barber shops, beauty salons and nail salons. That was about 15 years ago. He now has two locations- one in Durham and one in Greensboro and serves up over 30 different cake flavors to thousands of customers.

His story shows you that anything is possible. We’re proud to have them as part of the Durham community and our Shop Durham program. Use your Shop Durham card when you get your sweet fix and they’ll reward you with 10% off your purchase!

Wonderpuff

Wonderpuff, a handcrafted exploration of cotton candy possibilities powered by a husband and wife duo, has quickly become a Bull City staple.

They serve up unique flavors like lavender, chili mango, and orange cardamom. You can find them at pop ups around the Triangle (like our upcoming Shop Durham Night Market this Spring!) and local collaborations at spots like Kingfisher’s cocktail bar.

Nolia Coffee

Nolia is a coffee shop by Golden Belt Campus with a family-friendly space that includes healthy menu items, a play space for the kiddos, and great coffee, of course. β˜•οΈ
