After nearly sixteen months of being closed, Jeddah’s Tearoom is reopening to the public on July 13, 2021.
At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeddah’s closed their doors to the public. “We felt that closing-up-shop was the right thing to do for both the team and greater community´s health and safety, but I must admit I was naive with regard to the severity of the impact it would have, long-term, on our business,” explained Morgan Siegel, the founder of Jeddah’s Tea. The tearoom was open only 6 months before the pandemic caused the business to shut its doors.
Through the help of the community and loyal social media following, Siegel and her team were able to continually supply “tea to the people” via online sales. However, the impact of the pandemic was great, and the prospect of reopening looked bleak.
In June of this year, Siegel began working diligently to reopen the tearoom. “Our mission, from the outset, was to create space not only for a delicious cup of tea, but a refuge, safe haven and place of comfort for all segments of our community.” After hard work, Jeddah’s Tearoom is set to reopen with regular hours on July 13, 2021. The tearoom will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Friday and Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM; and Sunday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
